Soldiers were not involved. The attack was carried out by the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN). Therefore "naval aviators" from 6 IJN aircraft carriers actually carried out the attack. These pilots flew bombers, dive bombers, torpedo bombers and fighters. There were approximately 350 planes involved in two waves. The planes were crewed by 1 to 3 airmen. Also, 5 midget submarines were released by a "mothersub" outside of Pearl Harbor. They were to sneak inside the harbor attack the ships of the 7th Fleet at the same time as the air attack. Each sub was crewed by 2 men.
Hope this helps.

None. Unfortunately, for the Japanese, there were no aircraft carriers docked at Pearl Harbor at the time of the attack.
