Maximilian Kolbe hid around 2,000 Jews in his house and even asked friends to help hide more Jews.
OK.......here is one who was apart of the Dutch underground. Her and those like her, spurred into action by their Christian convictions, did what they could. Many died in the camps as well, including Ms. Ten Booms family. She barely made it out. I think we often focus on the darkness(what went wrong and the enormity of the darkness), which is right and proper to a point, instead of focusing on the points of light that fought the Nazi's. I believe it would do us well to look at what went right, and learn from it. http://www.soon.org.uk/true_stories/holocaust.htm
No. Not all Germans are Jews and not all Jews are German. But there are German Jews, as well as Jews with many other nationalities.
too many Jews too many Jews
Maximilian Kolbe became an inspiration to others through his selfless act of sacrifice during World War II. In 1941, he volunteered to take the place of a fellow prisoner at Auschwitz who was sentenced to death, demonstrating profound love and compassion. His unwavering faith and courage in the face of extreme adversity resonate with many, embodying the ideals of charity and humanity. Kolbe's legacy continues to inspire individuals to act selflessly and stand up for their beliefs in challenging circumstances.
Some individuals helped: no country helped as a country.IMPROVE: It is true that no complete country, as one, had completely hid the Jews. However, in countries in Poland, many people helped hide thousands of Jews. The Poles and Polish Jews were allied with each other because they just wanted to protect their homeland and defend their freedom from the Germans that invaded Poland. There are some other country's people that helped. In Bulgaria, they managed to save their entire Jewish population from deportation and shipment to concentration camps. In Albania, the people stood and protected their Jews because they were Muslim, and they believed in their religious morals.
many Jews hid in disused buildings.
not often, but they did hide (or bury) many of them.
Maximilian Kolbe had four brothers and one sister.
in many spots but i am afraid that u are not specific enough for me to answer that question because there were many Jews hiding in many different places. one of the main hiding places and one that Anne frank and here family hid at was Holland in the Netherlands's.
obviously 'a lot' will mean different things to different people, but i was surprised at how many hid in Berlin and at how many also survived.

No. The penalties were very severe, and not that many people cared enough to take the risks.AnswerI believe many people did hide Jews, but they successfully did so, therefore it was not ever common knowledge. I was talking it over with others, and we decided that "we couldn't not" help if it ever came up.
He was a priest in Auschwitz concentration camp, and volunteered to take the place of someone else who was condemned to die by starvation. He did not starve quickly enough for the SS guards, so they killed him. Since his death, many miracles have been attributed to him.
In order to avoid being sent to a death camp many Jews had to hide. In the second world war Hitler decided that he would try and rid the world of Jews. Any Jew from any age group (babies, children, women, men) in places like Germany, Poland and Russia were sent to labour camps or death camps. They were either slaves to the government being fed next to nothing or if they were deemed not "useful" for the government they would be killed straight away. Of course the plan was to in the end kill all Jews. By the end of the holocaust six million Jews were killed and no one had bothered to save them. Over a million of these people were children. We can only hope that this kind of cruel mass murder never happens again. true dat
Built by Nazis to carry out the mass extermination of Jews through gas chambers along with other brutal methods; included Chelmno and Auschwitz; many would have crematoriums built to hide the evidence of this mass murder
There is 1 syllable in the word hide
There used to be many Jews in Russia, but now the population of Jews in Russia lowered hugely.
