There are approximately 35,000 Black millionaires in the United States. While there are many well known entertainers and athletes topping the list, there are also many in the business sectors as well. In addition, there are a growing number of African-American billionaires.

In both countries, blacks were discriminated against and treated with contempt. Blacks did not have equal opportunities with the whites. In the US, blacks fought against racism while in SA they fought against apartheid.
Many blacks did fight in the south but not as much as blacks in the north. Blacks in the south that fought were either free land owners and were fighting to keep their land, or they were slaves of owners who were drafted in the war and they fought alongside their owners.
