Frank Hornby did not build any houses in Maghull, he lived in two; 'The Hollies' Station Road (the first house outside of London to have a Blue Plaque) and 'Quarry Brook' which he bought, along with other associated properties from Lord Vesty, this house is now part of Maricourt High School. He also contibuted to the building of the Consertvative Club (now the Kensington Club) in Maghull and if you go there you can even play snooker on his table.
