The Great Depression of the 1930's affected almost the entire world. According to the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the world population in 1930 was around 2.07 billion. Many countries were affected by the Depression, including Australia, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Japan, Latin America, the Netherlands, Portugal, South Africa, the Soviet Union, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It's really almost impssible to say exactly how many people were affected by the Great Depression, but the effects were felt around the world, which lasted until World War II for some countries.
