No it was never actually found because in the original social studies book for 5th graders the story says that the colonists were gone and all that was left was a carving in a tree CROUTON which is one of the Indian tribes that lived close to the colonists that lived in that settlement. Also if you have read about The Lost Colony at the end it says that many people are still searching for the lost colony artifacts and are trying to find out what happened to the lost colony.

They were last seen by Governor John White in August of 1587. As far as we know they haven't been seen by any Englishman (except the people within their own ranks) since. So, theoretically they are still lost. Consider, however, that they knew where they were so, theoretically, they were not lost. We just don't know what happened to them.
