I don't know how many but I know that at least 153,000 people were killed in Chelmno.

___

Chelmno the first Nazi extermination camp ('killing facility') and the aim was to kill the new arrivals within 24-48 hours of arrival. It did not have a permament population of prisoners, apart from a small group that had to dig graves in a nearby forest and bury the dead. It was not a camp in any conventional sense. The estimated death toll was - as stated above - 153,000 and the were only two (!) known survivors. One of these was a 'pipel'.

What is chelmno?

Chelmno is in a part of Poland that had been annexed by Germany in 1939. It is to the north of Lodz. Chelmno was an extermination camp, and the prisoners were gassed as soon as practical - ususally within 24 hours of arrival. They were not of course given a 'last meal'; they were not fed. (It was a 'killing facility' and served no other purpose). As at all extermination camps, a very small number of healthy-looking new arrivals were selected to help with aspects of the killing process itself - in particular, digging mass graves. There are only two known survivors.

How many people were in Nazi extermination camps at any one time?

The Holocaust was organized in such a way that there were usually relatively few prisoners in death camps (in the strict sense, that is, extermination camps). At some camps - especially, Treblinka, Belzec, Sobibor and Chelmno - the idea was to gas most new prisoners soon after arrival and dispose of their corpses quickly. The 'transports' were timetabled in such a way as to avoid flooding the camps was with new arrivals. In practice, things weren't always as smooth as that.
