There was 400 people on each ship
50,000 slaves died while they were runaways
The middle passage is how slaves got to America - in a stink infested and filthy cargo hold on a slave ship. Many slaves died enroute, making the slaves that made it sell at a higher price because of supply and demand. Many slaves were so weak they could not work and more than likely met an untimely death at the hands of a slaver.
The slaves were kept in the bottom of the ship. This being below the deck. The slaves would be stacked on top of each other. In being chained together they have very limited movement space. There were also barrels scattered around for use of a bathroom. The ship captian, not caring did not clean out the ships bottom, and the barrels would often overflow. So many slaves died on the ride because of the filth (Urine, Poop and Vomit{ Most slaves would get Sea sick}
Yes. Slaves were branded and their clothing was removed, either shortly before they boarded the ship or as soon as they were on the ship. Some slaves, usually children who were allowed to be on deck, were sometimes given the crew's old clothes.
There was alot of them

They were in chains in the bottom of the ship. Many died during the passage.
747 Crew members were on Champlain's ship. 476 of them died of disease or falling of the ship. His crew members were like slaves to him.
around 150 i think,
=== It is suspected that of 11 million slaves transported, this represented a third of the slaves from the start. so approximately 22 million slaves died on the slaves ships in the Indies and Americas alone.
they caught a disease from the ship because it was dirty and smelly and they were chained up and then most of them died !
There was 400 people on each ship

50,000 slaves died while they were runaways
Slaves died from a lot of things. Some where not fed regularly or given fresh water to drink, and other died from diseases that were passing from person to person on the ship. Remember they had no doctor or medication to treat their illness. Also, slaves died because of the lack of room on the ship, the shelves on ship were inches apart so some slaves suffocated because of that. The shelves barely had room to fit them all, they couldn't even turn on their sides.
