People find it difficult to calculate this. Do you count every individual battle as a war, or do you group them together and only count the big wars? Do you count a little raid of four or five people as a war? Do you count a war in which Mohammed sent out his deputies but did not participate himself?
One person counted up 78 wars. Another calculated it was more like 120. I don't know how they arrived at these answers, or how I would do the counting myself.
One war, the Battle of the Trench, was defensive. The Porridge Raid might also be considered defensive. In most battles, however, Mohammed was the aggressor.
Mecca has been a sacred and important city since the time of Hazrat Abraham (Ibraheem) AS.

The Introduction of AzaanAfter the completion of Masjid-e-Nabawee Shareef, there had still been no medium through which the people could be informed of the time regarding congregational Salah. When Rasoolullah (S.A.W) consulted the Sahaba Ikraam (R.A) regarding this, some suggested a fire be lit, some said a bell should be used, while others proposed a bugle (horn) be used. These methods were not preferred by Rasoolullah (S.A.W)as they were also used by the Kuffaar to gather people. Hence, Hazrat Umar Farooq (R.A) said that someone should go around Madina announcing the time of Salah. The Holy Prophet (S.A.W) liked this idea and ordered Hazrat Bilal (R.A) to do so, who would pass through the city saying, "As-Salaatu Jaami'atun", for all five daily Salah. It was during this time that a Sahaabi named Hazrat Abdullah bin Zaid Ansaari(R.A) had a dream in which the Azaan (i.e. the present Azaan) was being read, a dream thereafter seen by Rasoolullah (S.A.W), Hazrat Umar Farooq (R.A) and other Sahaba (R.A) as well.Rasoolullah (S.A.W) accepted this as an order from Allah (S.W.T) and instructed Hazrat Abdullah bin Zaid (R.A)to teach Hazrat Bilal (R.A) its words, seeing that he had a louder voice; and thus, from that day onwards and until Qiyaamah, the method of reading Azaan had begun. Beloved prophet Muhammad (May peace and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon him) din't BRING Islam to Arabia. Islam dates back to the arrival of Hazrat Adam (AS) and Hazrat Eve Hawwa (AS) on the earth. Hazrat Adam (AS) was the first human being, first messenger, first Prophet and Rasool and the first Muslim. Then he was followed by about 12 million prophets, inculding Hazrat Noah (AS), Hazrat Abraham (AS), Hazrat Izak (AS), Hazrat Jakob .... Hazrat Moses (AS) and Hazrat Christ (AS), all preaching Islam. The last of the Prophets is our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (MPBABUM). The religion given to all human beings by God is Islam.Arabia before the Prophet-hood was a place full of sinful activities-idol worship, cruelty to women, burying alive young daughters, drinking, killing innocent people, and so on. Allah Almighty took pity on the Arabs and blessed Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (MPBABUM) with Prophet-hood for the guidance of the Arabs in particular and the whole humanity in general. He preached Islam and wiped out the evils prevalent in Arabia and adjoining countries. The message of Islam spread in the world later on.Read more: What_is_the_date_of_Islam
The last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him) didn't pull anything from any religion. He was totally illiterate. He was disciple to none. He didn't know how to write or read. That is why when Hazrat Gabraiel-the Arch Angel- came to him for the first time and said: "Read." The last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him) replied, "I cannot read." Almighty God had been sending prophets for the guidance of human beings to the right path. Right from Hazrat Adam (AS) to The last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him) there have been about 25 million Prophets. They all preached that Almighty God is the sole Creator, Sustainer, Protector, Provider, and Ruler of all the Universe. He and ONLY HE deserves worship. He has no Parner, no Parent, No off-spring, No wife. He is Omni- Potent, All-Powerful, all Praise be to Him. That was the basis of the teaching of Hazrat Adam (AS), Hazrat Noah (AS), Hazrat Abraham (AS), Hazrat Moses (AS), Hazrat John the Baptist, Hazrat Jesus Christ (AS) and The last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him). The last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (may peace be upon him) was assigned the task of Preaching Islam. He preached whatever was revealed to him from Almighty God. He started preaching Islam at the age of forty. It is baseless to say that he 'pulled from the 5 religion'. Only Judaism and Christianity were the heavenly religions before him. Islam is continuity of these religions.

Answer 1The Prophets are chosen people sent by Allah (God) Almighty for the guidance of human beings. Hazrat Abraham, Hazrat Moses, Hazrat Jesus Christ and many others (May peace and blessings of Almighty God be on them) were the Messengers of Almighty God. The last one being Hazrat Muhammad (May peace be on him). The Arch Angel Gabriel (Jibraieel) came to him, revealed a few verses of the holy Qur'an and told him that he was the last Prophet, and that he should preach Islam. At that time the age of Hazrat Muhammad (May peace be on him) was about 40 years.Answer 2According to Islamic Sources, Mohammed was unsure that God had spoken to him until a Christian friend (Waraqa) of his wife, Khadija, assured him that God was speaking to him. (He believed that it may have been the devil.) When Mohammed was assured that it was God, he felt compelled to preach the words he received to other people.
Hazrat Aishah (R) was the Prophet Muhammad's (P.B.U.H) third and youngest wife, daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr (R), the first caliph of Islam, and Zainab bint Amir. Her knowledge of the Quran and traditions and practices of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was better than many others. She is one of the most authentic sources of hadis.
