1 WW2 was the only war to detonate atomic bombs. Pray no one ever uses any again.
The ONLY nuclear device(s) ever used in a world war was the Hiroshima & Nagasaki atomic bombs that were dropped in August of 1945, ending WWII. Nuclear powered naval ships were used in a number of other conflicts, but not nuclear weapons.

No. The only nuclear weapon used in a war was when America dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and then shortly after on Nagasaki, there have been many tests since however.
Not likely to be able to get a number of this. It is sort of like looking for the number of bullets that have been fired in warfare. The number is huge and the records are not comprehensive. You can find numbers for some wars from one side or another, and all are going to be estimates. And does it count if it was dropped into the ocean or just jettisoned?Against mankind in ww2, two atomic bombs were dropped. One in Hiroshima and the other on Nagasaki.
One thing is that since the age of atomic weapons there has not been any more world wars.
The U.S. originally built the atomic bomb to end WW2 because it was the only alternative to invading Japan, which would have cost many, many more lives and been worse for all involved. Now atomic bombs are used for a balance of power - "If you nuke us we'll nuke you back" is enough to stop a few wars.
Bombs don't start wars, people do.
The atomic weaponshaveonly been used twice. Both in WWII in 1945 by the USA. They wereused because theplanned invasion of the Japanese mainland by the allieswas calculated to have possibly amillion plusallied casualties.
They do not have to, however bombs are an effective weapon for destroying the enemy and therefore are usually used. But for instance if neither group had bombs, then obviously they would not be used. Also if it was say a paintball war you have an example there.
The advent (arrival) of nuclear weapons in 1945 (Hiroshima & Nagasaki) negated (nullified or invalidated) declared total wars. No longer could wars be fought with ALL available weapons (e.g. atomic bombs) without the risk of "mutually assured destruction." Consequently, only wars "Limited" to the use of conventional (non-atomic) weapons would or could be used.

There was the Cold War after the Holocaust. The Cold War was a war which used words and threats, but no weapons and bombs.
MANY of the Korean War veterans were WW2 veterans. WW2 veterans had fought a war to win; using any available weapon, including the use of atomic bombs. NOT using the atomic bomb to defeat communist forces confused these WW2 veterans. LIMITED WARS (No nuclear weapons) was new to them.
To get ready for future wars...

the tank, the flamethrower, and they "upgraded" the hand grenades. they also introduced the atomic bombs (hiroshimaa and nagasaki)
to have less wars and bombs
