I don't know how much an individual dress was, but in 1530 Henry VIII spent 220 pounds on Anne Boleyn's wardrobe, and in 1532 he spent 330 pounds. out of his 100,000 pound income. That's about 660,000-990,000 on clothes in todays English pounds.

the Tudor clothes cost more than the pay - back in the day - so they only could buy one dress a month - and when i got to small they still had to keep it unless they had enough money to buy a new one - or 2nd hand - for a very little asking price -
