Musket loops are small metal rings or hooks attached to the stock of a musket or rifle. They are used to attach a sling or strap to the weapon, allowing the user to carry it more easily. Musket loops are typically located near the butt of the gun and are an important accessory for military firearms used in the past.

Musket balls were typically made of lead and usually weighed between 0.5 to 1 ounce (approximately 14 to 28 grams). The exact weight could vary based on the type of musket and its caliber. For example, a .69 caliber musket ball would weigh around 1 ounce, while smaller calibers would weigh less. The lead used in musket balls was often cast in molds to achieve uniformity.
The cost of a musket in 1775 varied depending on the quality and type of musket. On average, a standard musket could range from $2 to $20, with higher quality or custom-made muskets costing more.

Your standard long land pattern brown bess musket (used by the british) was one of the heavier muskets weighed 10 lbs and was 5 foot 4 inches long. Which would make the the thing very cumbersome to carry around, thats why is was replaced by the other patterns but also all that length and weight added to the accuracy and power. It fired a .75 caliber musket ball!

Musket or Musket or maybe a Musket.:D
Depends on the "old time" gun in question. A matchlock musket might be so heavy that a forked-stick type of support was used to help hold the barrel- about 15-20 lbs. A Pennsylvania long rifle might weigh about 10-12 lbs. a 22 revolver made in 1886 might weigh 6 OUNCES.
