Soldiers ranged all ages during the Napoleonic Wars: the youngest would have been around 16, and the oldest in their 40's: That is not including the officers, some of whom, particularly senior officers, would keep their positions until their 60's or 70's
The colonists in Boston felt increasingly resentful and antagonistic towards the British soldiers stationed there, viewing them as an occupying force rather than protectors. Tensions escalated due to incidents like the Boston Massacre in 1770, where British troops killed five colonists, further fueling anti-British sentiments. This growing animosity is evident in colonial writings, speeches, and pamphlets of the time, which often portrayed the soldiers as oppressors threatening the colonists' rights and freedoms.
For King and Country, that is good old fashioned patriotism. Because they were mislead by a very successful advertising campaign, which exploited not good, not old fashioned, but blind patriotism. Over 5 million allied soldiers were casualties.

The minimum age for British soldiers has varied over time, but as of 2013, the minimum age for regular enlistment in the British Army is 16 years old, although those under 18 require parental consent. However, soldiers must be at least 18 years old to serve in operational roles. During World War I and World War II, many young men enlisted at even younger ages, often with parental approval or by falsifying their age.

They fought against the Britsh and they did not like woman to join their military. Keith adds. Sorry but Australia did NOT fight the British. Australia, New Zealand, India and other parts of the old 'empire' united to form the B.E.F. (British Expeditionary Forces). You might be thinking of Australian Government insisting that Australian soldiers served directly under Australian officers and that no Courts martial of Australian soldiers would be promulgated by British Officers. This was a 'hang over' from the Boer Wars (multiple wars 1897 to 1903) where several Australian soldiers were Court Martialled and shot by firing squad. (of the two soldiers shot, one was actually English but had signed up in Australia in an Australian Regiment). This was known as the Breaker MORANT affair. Harry Habord MORANT (English but serving with the Australian Bushveldt Carbineers) and an Australian (who's name escapes me for the moment sorry) where sentenced and shot by firing squad for possibly political reasons. Apart from that type of bickering between Britain and Oz, they were on the same side during American War of Independence, The Boer Wars, WWI, WWII, Koerean War, Vietnam War, and the various more recent conflicts.
