This is one of very important issue which today's modern librarians must understand. in the semester system the students are always busy with their various kinds of study preparations. they have to attend the class, catch up with the classroom teaching, complete the assignments, engage in the tutorials and seminars and discussion group and simultaneously attend the library for all practical purpose. the staff of the library know that within a span of three to four months on one semester what kind of querries are expected, what important books, chapters, articles are likely to be in circulation. the library has to prepare for that kind of eventuality. since the study and teaching pattern in the semester system is combination of methods mentioned above, the students are always on toes to hunt of study materials and impact on the library services are very heavy. analogues to this is the impact on librry services during the parliamentary sessions wherein the legislators have heavy demand of matirials which are likely to come for discussion and the library staff of the parliamentary library have already prepared for such eventualities. could any body has any other better answere to this question.
