Servants, or slaves, in the United States were forced to work long hours, were beaten if they disobeyed, fed little, and even insulted along the way. There were certain responsibilities assigned to certain people. For example, females, especially young ones, were very valuable because they were able to have babies. Their primary job was to have babies. Young, strong men were forced to work hard, long hours while beaten into shape by an overseer of a plantation, where most slaves worked. Slaves usually were treated harshly by their owner, and they could not buy themselves out of slavery. This is why the Underground Railroad and other like networks formed, to get out of slavery.
House slaves was normally treated as servants and in some families as family members. There was cases where slaves were mistreated but that was realy the exceptions, slaves were generally treated humanly with rest, food and shelter. However being a slave meant that no compansation was given for services rendered and you could never leave or seek alternative employment.
The slaves were not treated good at all I guess you can try to imagine jail now and then multiply it by 100 and then you will see how the slaves were treated.
In the middle of 18 to 1900s, they were treated as slaves.
in the early part of the Victorian era slaves were treated equally to the past although many states had banned slavery as in the relation ship to the Victorian era to how slaves are treated i see no relation.
How Antoninus Pius treated his slaves/the slaves he owned is not known. He introduced legislation which made the emancipation of slaves easier. Previously restrictions on emancipation had been put into place because of the high rates of manumission (emancipation of slaves).
They were treated as the property of the master of the house.
House slaves were treated better than field slaves. Field slaves were worked hard by a (usually cruel) overseer, while house slaves worked inside, out of the heat, under a normally slightly kinder person.

Women and slaves were treated unfairly because they were not allowed to be citizens, vote, and did not have any rights.there were no slaves in Sparta, and the women were treated with dignity.

they probably weren't just like different people exist now, they existed then not all slaves were beat, some were just enslaved, some were "house" slaves & treated as "help" is treated nowadays. Some were probably beat daily. I wonder how the slaves in Africa are treated today
how were the slaves treated in the cape
they were treated like slaves
Slaves would not be treated well as they were seen as common animals without rights
The slaves in gone with the wind were treated with great respect and love. They really cared for the slaved that took care of them when it comes to getting them ready for partys and making food and cleaning the house. If you disagree with me just comment me back.
