the ghettos were sealed of parts of the cities, so many of the Jews did not have to go far, they would be rounded up and (as far as i know) walk to the ghettos with the small amount of belongings they had.

Later, once the formal decision to exterminate all Jews, they were moved into walled Ghettos in cities which were eventually violently cleared and they were shipped en masse to labour camps and death camps, again by truck and train.

However socialists, atheists, humanists & homosexuals were not rounded-up. In fact, Nazis were socialists, atheists, Darwinists & in a few cases 'closet' homosexuals. Hitler was an atheist that implemented "Social Darwinist' practices to weed-out the weak, the infirmed & the disabled. The disabled (including WW1 veterans), insane, elderly & seriously ill were murdered by Nazi 'death panels' of health-care professionals at the direction of the government well before the start of the World War. Homosexuals were not singled out for death, unless they were political opponents of the Nazis. Then the person would be accused of homosexuality (or of being a Jew or a Communist) regardless of truth to cover-up the real reason for the arrest.

An important fact to remember is that Fascism/Nazism & Communism are all forms of Socialism. Communism is the most extreme version of Socialism, next to Fascism. The hard-working Germans were willing to support fascists against communists, because Communists seized all private property & banned capitalism. Nazis permitted capitalism & private property ownership for the Germanic population, however the Nazi Party retained control and could seize property without reimbursement on its orders.
