How will the world ends?

The world will end sometime in the next 4.5 billion years, but that will be before the sun comes to an end itself as a white dwarf. In as little as 1.5 billion years from now, the world will still be here, but will have long since been rendered uninhabitable by the expansion of the ever reddening sun. The earth will eventually be inside the sun, all this before the sun finally uses all it's fuel and blows off it's outer shell, the core collapsing as a white dwarf. Our sun will never be a "supernova" however - it is much too small.
