No. Unfortunately unwanted cats & dogs have long been euthanized (put to sleep) after a period of time without being adopted. This is not illegal. Despite our love for pets & other animals, it is a necessary part of life that animals die to prevent suffering, disease, over-population, or to be a food source. It is our responsibility to be as humane as possible when this happens.
The real Holocaust that was done to Jews by Nazi Germany is truly a horrible crime against humanity and not comparable to what happens to animals. In-fact the Nazis attempted to justify the murder of people by saying that they were no better than animals.
