The Taliban are Wahhabi Sunni Muslims created by the US to confront Russia forces.

They are probably closest to being religious theocrats, so that would make them "right-wing" in the most general sense. In terms of social action, they were extremely conservative, banning women's education and actively hunting down homosexuals and apostates. However, unlike most right-wing groups, they had no desire to strengthen corporations, grow the economy, or any other "right-wing" economic policy.

The Right-Wing in most developed (and even developing) countries is nowhere near as barbaric and cruel as the Taliban.
