it's A: Ivan the Terrible
I'd suggest Ivan the Terrible and Peter the Great.
Ivan the Great was The Grand pronce of Moscow from 1462 to 1505 not sure how he died. Ivan the Terrible was Czar of Russia from 1533 to 1584. He died of a stroke while playing chess with his body guard.
Tsar Feodor III ruled immediately before Peter I (the Great). Many other princes and tsars ruled before him - check Wikipedia for "List of Russian rulers".
Peter the Third was very childish and cruel. However, Catherine the Great was a wonderful ruler. She was very open to the ideas of Enlightenment thinkers. People like Voltaire helped her form how she ruled her kingdom. She wanted to allow everyone a chance. Sadly, she is most remembered for expanding Russia's territory.
Peter the Great and Catherine the Great were both Russian rulers.
