She made a deal with the FBI that if they did everything they could to allow her to stay in the country (she was facing probably deportation) she would give them Dillinger. They went to the Biograph Theater where the FBI was waiting, and the agents were to recognize her by her orange skirt. When they saw her, they approached. Dillinger ended up dead. The rest is history.
