There are approximately 50 Navy and Marine Corps officers (the Navy MOH is awarded to both Navy and Marines Corps members) who have been awarded the Navy MOH since 1861. The most recent Naval officer to receive the MOH was Navy SEAL Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who was killed in action during Operation Red Wings in Afghanistan. Royal Navy usually refers to England. However, any country that has a King can refer to their navy as "royal navy".Answer'England' does NOT have a navy. The Royal Navy is the title of the British navy, England being just one of the four (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) countries that constitute the United Kingdom. Other monarchies incorporate the name of their country into their title, such as 'Royal Norwegian Navy' or 'Royal Navy of Oman'.
The top ranking officer in the U.S. Navy is the Chief of Naval Operations, a 4-star Admiral.

The Marine Corps by Title X US Code is still a part of the Dept of the Navy.
If you are refering to MCPON, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, then that title is currently held by MCPON (SS/SW) Rick West who took over that title on 12 December 2008.
