The office responsible for working with Native American tribal governments is the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), which is part of the U.S. Department of the Interior. The BIA manages relationships between the federal government and tribal nations, providing support in areas such as governance, education, and economic development. Additionally, the Office of Tribal Relations within the BIA specifically focuses on fostering communication and collaboration with tribal governments.

The American revolution did not directly effect the lives of Native Americans. Politically little if anything changed; the only difference being that the newly formed United States accepted the terms and obligations of all treaties formally held between Native American governments and governments in Europe (see Delaware Treaty of 1778: Treaty of Fort Pitt) and attempted at least in part to disconnect those Native Governments from any contact (or treaties) with nations from Europe.
Americanizing a Native American is by definintion a contradictory statement. Being the original inhabitants of the North American Continent i.e the original Americans, they cannot become Americanized through some process. What that statement may really be saying is "what does it mean to Europeanize a Native American". This refers to a process of loss of the Native American's "American" culture and identity through indocrination, re-education, and an environment of European cultures and values. The Native American loses their American identity, and adopts the identiy and culture of the Western Europeans. American today really means the descendents of Western Europeans, not Native Americans.
All Native American 'Governments' were Socialist Republics (Socialist by the broad term, and Republics in that they had a set of laws that no one could violate). There was no real theory of government to most tribal peoples, there was simply respected leadership, and when that failed the tribe split or in some cases ousted the leader (or in rare cases, killed them)evolution apex(:
