Mamta is a widow and daughter of a minister. She refuses the ten plate gold brought by her father chudamani from his rival sher shah suri. Next day chudamani is killed by the warriors of sher shah but mamta manages in running away. In a place of broken rocks she builds a small hut and one day gives sheleter to the great king Humayun who had lost the famous battle of chausa against Sher Shah. Next day seeing ministers and horses of the Mughal (She didn't know the person given shelter was Humayun), she hides in tall bamboo grasses. It is heared that Humayun gives order to his reputed servant to build the cottage of Mamta into a house. When she turns 70 people of Humayun come to build the cottage but on the day she dies. A famous temple, to embrace this landmark is made by Akbar, Humayun's son and it is written on it that the most powerful king Humayun had once took shelter there. But Mamtas name was nowhere
