The Final Solution was the answer to the Jewish question (what to do about them would be the best way to explain it in simple terms). They decided or rather Hitler decided to annihilate the Jew and other undesirable people groups such as the mentally ill, the feeble minded, the communists, the physically disabled or malformed peoples. They built concentration camps to accommodate the millions of people they wanted to kill or use for slave labor. They managed to kill 6 million Jews and 5 million "undesirables". Their motivation was to create a pure Aryan race free of Jews, Slavs and other races. They also blamed the Jews on all their troubles and the Treaty of Versailles. Some Jews, POWs and others did survive the camps. They were found by the Allied Forces. They had to be treated for starvation, dehydration, disease and exposure. Eventually they were able to get well and move to other countries. See the link below for your further education.
