The early Egyptologists believed that Nefertiti was a princess from Syria, however, historical research suggests that she was the Egyptian-born daughter of the courtier Ay, brother of Akhenaton's mother, Tiy. This would make her ethnically more Middle-Eastern than Central African "Black."

Technically, the first egyptians were black. Many egyptians would argue otherwise, but that is just them trying to keep egyptian dignity for ourselves. You can tell in ancient egyptian art, that the paintings contain darker skinned people. Egypt's people originated from nubia. Nubians were black people. Now in Egypt, there is the population of black egyptians that decended from the first egyptians. But, there is a population of mixed egyptians that decended from Syrian, Turkish or other middle-eastern or arab parents. For the sculptures of nefertiti, it's safe to say that she was black, or a shade of black. The purest egyptians at this day and age have a shade of black skin and other features of the race. Because of the fact that the first egyptians were nubian, we can say egyptians and their cousins in Sudan are (are or were originaly) Black to an extent.
