Today, and we actually said that they did come from there and theyb were found by wolves and raised by shephards. And this is all just a legend i don't know if it is true but wolves would not help people, they eat them, so idk what actually happened this is just what i know happened \!

Romulus and Remus were twin sons of Silvia Rhea, the daughter of the king of the Latin city of Alba Longa who was deposed by his brother. They were put in the Tiber in a basket by a servant of their uncle because he wanted to kill them. The got caught by a fig tree in a marsh near the Palatine Hill and were breastfed by a she wolf. They were then raised by a shepherd and his wife, Faustulus and Acca Larentia. Romulus and Remus wanted to found a new city. They disagreed about on the which hill to found it. Romulus wanted the Palatine Hill and Remus wanted the Aventine Hill. The settled the dispute by divination and Romulus won. He built a sacred wall around the Palatine Hill. A spiteful Remus violated it and Romulus killed him. Romulus became the founder of Rome and its first king by uniting the separate settlements of the Seven Hills of Rome under his rule.

They decided that remus would become king of the new land. Just as remus was about to be crowned, 12 vultures flew over romulus, making him the king. Rome was named after Romulus. the jelous remus came over to the walled city of Rome. He told his brother "ha! wat kind of so called 'city' is this? anyone could easily climb over this stupid city!" Romulus replied "Well this is what my city will do to anyone who does climb over the wall!" and kills his brother.the bold is the answer ur looking 4. d rest is just d background.Acknowledgements: My buddy Miles 4 telling d story in class
Rhea Silva (Romulus and Remus' mother) was the daughter of Numitor, the king of Alba Longa who was deposed by his brother Amulius. She was forced by her uncle to become a vestal virgin (priestesses of the goddess Vesta who had to vow chastity) because he did not want her to have children who could become rivals for power. However, she was impregnated by the god Mars. When Amulius learned of this, he imprisoned Rhea Silvia and ordered a servant to kill the twins, but heset them adrift in a basket on the River Tiber. They landed by the Palatine Hill (where Rome was later founded). They were adopted by a shepherd and grew up as shepherds. As young men they found out about their origin. They went to Alba Longa, freed their mother and grandfather, overthrew their Amulius and restored Numitor to the throne
