What is athlersclorosis?
Atherosclerosis is a cardiovascular disease that deals with the
heart's arteries. When plaque or fatty substances like cholesterol
or lipids build up in the arteries, blood flow becomes restricted,
leading to a higher blood pressure and more force needed from the
heart's pumps (ventricles and atria). Atherosclerosis can lead to
hypertension, congestive heart failre, or even a heart attack.
