The Great Pyramid of Giza was opened to the public in the 19th century, with significant access granted in the 1830s. The attempt to undo segregation was called desegregation.The elimination of "separate but equal" schools and other public facilities came about during the Civil Rights movement and a major Supreme Court case. The case of Brown v Board of Educationdeclared that school segregation was a violation of the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution. The court was unanimous in its decision to overturn Plessy v Ferguson, which had allowed for "separate but equal" facilities.
The 17th amendment resulted in senators being elected directly by the voting public.
