Thales is credited with five propositions, which were guidelines for the development of geometry.

1) Any angle inscribed within a semicircle is a right angle (90 degrees). (Thales's' Theorem)

2) A circle is bisected by its diameter.

3) An isosceles triangle has two sides of equal length. the two angels opposite those sides are equal to each other.

4) When two straight lines cross each other, they form four angles. The angles opposite each other will be equal.

5) Two triangles are equal in all respects if they have two angles and one side that equal those in the other triangle.
