A computer is basically a machine that performs only a single task.

This task is to "PROCESS DATA".

Any action that a computer does can be explained in term of this single task.

All the other features such as storing, displaying, printing or inputting data are actually not the part of the computer. Even a memory card can store data but that is not a computer. A computer can read the data of a memory card, process it and perform the desired action. This is what a computer does.

Thus anything that can process data is a computer.

For example, even a simple calculator is also a computer.
