Caesar really didnt do anything that can be considered a crime or anything but his words alone should be like daggers to the people of Rome but for some reason they are just so ignorant of this (since he appears as a decent and caring ruler). If you read this far then you will know that before Caesar's murder he was appealed upon by the conspirators (ie: Brutus, Cassius, Mettulus and all the other men who were to kill him) and they begged him like literally getting on their knees but this Caesar claims he is unmovable. He says he is as unconstant as the North Star (which never moves) and when the conspirators persist he asks them if they are trying to lift Olympus (home of the Greek Gods) so this kind of strikes a question in your head. Is he considering himself a god? One may say this because he continues as to say that their begging may move or influence regular men, men who are of flesh and blood!!!! Is he not of flesh and blood?? How do the people still support him?? This is the part where we see Shakespeare accumulating sympathy for the conspirators because you kind of feel bad for them since all they are doing is begging to let Mettelus' brother out of jail. But we see Caesar's stubborn character and his cocky perception of himself and how conceited he really is...which just gave them more reason to kill Caesar.
