Generally, people don't like to see a long dragged out wars. Although, no nation is at war with Iraq...the term Iraq War sounds like some nation is invading it, or laying siege to it's capital; no one is flying bombers over that nation's capital to bring it to it's knees.
Iraq is simply a country in which law, order, and stability is trying to be established and maintained.
Afghanistan is the same way. Slightly modified; the US went there originally because New York City was attacked in 2001. So terrorist hunting is occurring in Afghanistan.
None. The US is not at war with Iraq. In Vietnam, the US was at war with North Vietnam.
some 1 come and give me a answer

Not in Vietnam they weren't. Maybe in some other parts of the world.
The us is a global force that exists in a global context. during the cold war for example it was believed that a chain of event is due to happen if you do not prevent them/ then, it was in the context of communism - if the us would not support the democratic people of Vietnam then communism will not only flourish in Vietnam but will effect the whole area. Today Iraq is an unstable region, that can effect world powers such as russia Iran and usa if lets say the us pulls out of Iraq it will effect the global arena in terms of domination. and will emphasize a lack of us foreign policy

Stuff.
None. Vietnam was a war against another nation (North Vietnam). Iraq is a police action in which law, order, and stability is trying to be established from withing the country. The US is NOT at war with Iraq.

Some very important European views about The New World
Differences are technological in nature. The troops involved were equally heroic, the differences were national commitment, and the similarities again are that people died, children died, Families died, and military personnel died in pursuit of their nation's objectives. Differences are that deaths in Iraq continue and US deaths are rare in Vietnam.

State some examples of setting a "...cornerstone of free world in SEA prior to the Viet..."
NO NATION is at war with Iraq. Iraq is the restoration of law, order and stability to Iraq. AMERICA WAS at war with North Vietnam. Actually buddy I am a Marine and i fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are still keeping peace in Iraq. Afghanistan is our main priority right now. Vietnam or NVA or gooks that war was nothing like the war were in now. Vietnam didn't have the greatest technology and we (us) speaking didnt have good tech either. That's why so many men died in Vietnam. Afghanistan we worry about ambushes, ied's and rpgs and heavy machine guns. we have only lost 5000 men in this war and 58000 men died in Vietnam. Thanks but don't comment on something you have no clue about. It's said the the wars going on in the middle east are like Vietnam, both a bit of a lost cause. Vietnam was the first televised war and was a first for helicopters, I think. Both wars a bit of a power struggle to. Consider how much money would be introduced in to th e USA econmy if they win in the middle east. Vietnam was a fight against Comunism and to intervene with the domino effect. They are a like in some ways many things could annd can be aqquried with a win. I'm just glas the the SAS are pulling out next year. ITS STUPID
