the most absic thing YOU have to do to KEEP your cells alive is drink water and keep your self hidrated with protins and a liquid. don't drink to much pop. you are made of water and that's whats in your blood strem. if a cell has lets say for an ex. 70% water 30%salt on the inside of the cell and on the outside its 95% water and 5% salt the cell will swell up and is nothing is done about it, then your cell will burst.

another example is if inside the cell it has 40% water and 60% salt and on the outside 20% water and 80%salt your cell will shrink. and eventully dry out like a prune

What is the fundemental unit of life?

The fundamental unit of life is the cell. Cells are the basic building blocks of all living organisms and are responsible for carrying out essential functions to maintain life. Each cell is capable of performing specific tasks and has its own structure and function.

What cell membrane does in the cell?

It allows in things that are vital to carry on life in the cell.

How are all living things dependent upon the cell?

All living things are dependent upon cells because cells are the basic structural and functional units of life. They carry out essential processes such as metabolism, growth, and reproduction. Additionally, cells provide the necessary machinery for organisms to respond to their environment and maintain homeostasis.

Why is the regulation of calcium levels so important?

So that the nervous and muscular systems can function properly. Calcium is essential to life, and is used primarily for three things: intracellular cell signaling, muscle cell contraction and nerve cell activity.

A cell that burns fuel to produce energy?

This type of cell is likely a mitochondrion, which is known as the "powerhouse" of the cell. Mitochondria convert nutrients into energy-rich molecules called ATP through a process called cellular respiration. This energy is essential for the cell to carry out its functions and maintain life.

What Conclusion about cell structure?

It's the cell theory

What is the term for the things we need to live?

Essential for life

What are essential goods?

Things necessary to support life

What would happen to an animal cell if the cytoplasm is missing?

If the cytoplasm is missing from an animal cell, the cell would be unable to maintain its structure and function, as the cytoplasm is essential for housing organelles and facilitating biochemical reactions. Without cytoplasm, the cell would lack the necessary environment for metabolic processes, leading to a rapid decline in cellular health. Ultimately, the cell would likely die due to the inability to carry out essential life-sustaining functions.

What is a reason unicellular organisms can be considered living things?

Unicellular organisms can be considered living things because they exhibit the essential characteristics of life, such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli. These single-celled organisms carry out all necessary life processes within one cell, allowing them to maintain homeostasis and adapt to their environment. Additionally, they can reproduce independently, either sexually or asexually, ensuring the continuation of their species.

What Smallest functional unit of a living thing?

The smallest functional unit of a living thing is a cell. Cells are the basic building blocks of life and carry out essential functions necessary for an organism to survive and function properly. Each cell is able to maintain homeostasis, reproduce, and perform specific tasks within the organism.

What is the main function of the cell?

The main function of a cell is to carry out specific biochemical reactions that are essential for life, such as energy production, growth, and reproduction. Cells also help maintain internal homeostasis and respond to external stimuli to ensure survival.
