The Great Famine
Famine :3
The Bengal famine occurred between 1943 and 1944, primarily affecting the Bengal province of British India. This devastating famine resulted in the deaths of an estimated 2 to 3 million people due to starvation and malnutrition. Contributing factors included wartime policies, agricultural failures, and the British government's response to the crisis. The famine remains a significant and tragic event in the history of British colonial rule in India.
Famine is pronounced "FAH-min".
The factors that Thomas Malthus thought would eventually limit the human population were war, famine, and disease.
Famine is caused by physical or human factors Human: Not enough money Physical Drought Monsoons Earthquakes Pretty much anything which makes it hard to grow food on a big scale
poverty and famine
The country was struck by a terrible famine last year. Three thousand people died in our town because of famine. World famine and natural disasters are not the same because famine can be addressed by governments and individuals to save the lives of human beings.
Poverty, war, and famine were some of the factors.
Possibly. It can be caused by overpopulation and mismanagement of agriculture.
Genocide. Complete lack of government. Famine.
You can't really lay the blame on anyone specific, a large combination of factors led to the famine and other factors contributed to making it worse whilst it was ongoing. But the origin of the blight was from America, it was transported to Europe on ships from the "new world".
physical factors such as drought, flooding, natural disaster like hurricanes or earthquakes so food cannot reach people. human factors such as war corruption of governments like Zimbabwe and Mugabe lack of aid overpopulation climate change e.g. Sahel region in Africa
Famine happens where ever human populations exceed the capacity of the land to support food. This can happen due to temporary conditions, such as unusual weather patterns. it can also happen due to climate change or drought. The African subcontinent and India are the most common famine areas.
Human Factors - journal - was created in 1964.
