They look for things such as what Stone Age people ate, what kind of shelters they made, what knowledge they had, what beliefs they had, how they survived, etc. Historians also wanted social world harmony which means that they wanted to understand and respect other people's cultures.

On November 26, 1922, an archeologist named Howard Carter found a famous tomb that helped him learn lots about a famous Egyptian's, King Tutankhamen, culture and how he lived.
