There is no historicity to abraham what so ever

he is said to live roughly 2000 BC ish, that's 800 years before the Israelites started to evolve away from the Canaanite culture they belonged to.

Israelites formed after 1200 BC.

Abraham cannot be found in any early writing at all. Only in the 5th and 6th cenury BC do we see Abraham being created in scripture. All this after the return of people to Israel after the Babylonian exile, where the people may have picked up some Mesopotamian legends, as we know they did. The Bible is chocked full of Mesopotamian influences no scholar will debate.

As a general statement, historicity cannot have "pros" or "cons". A person's existence being historically accurate is of neutral value and therefore can not have positives (as indicated by "pros") or negatives (as indicated by "cons").
