The Choctaw tribe historically used a variety of weapons, including bows and arrows, spears, and clubs for hunting and warfare. They also utilized tools such as tomahawks and knives made from stone or wood. In more recent times, while traditional weapons have largely fallen out of use, modern firearms may be employed for hunting and sport. Cultural practices and historical reenactments sometimes showcase these traditional weapons for educational purposes.

The Choctaw, traditionally called the Chahta loved their home in Mississippi. It was very difficult for them to be relocated so far from their sacred sites. The Choctaw have a federally recognized Choctaw tribe in Mississippi made up of descendents of tribe members who refused to relocate to Oklahoma. They are the Mississippi Band of Choctaw.
They played a game called "Choctaw Stickball". They played this until 1907.
