In 1665 there wasn't the black death. The last large plague outbreak was in the 1330. There was an outbreak in China in 1855 caused by rats and fleas.

There was a major plague in 1665 that swept through England. London was especially hard hit. It was started the same way the earlier plague outbreaks began - fleas from rats.

The black death was thought to be caused by black rats, carrying fleas. But other strange reasons: Gods Wrath, warlocks curse, etc.
The Great Plague of London in 1665 to 1666 is believed to have been caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis, the same organism believed to have caused the Black Death.This, of course, was in the 17th century. I did not locate a plague in London in the 16th century.There is a link below.
