The city that was center of Renaissance in England is London. Hope that this helps!!!!!! :)
Italian cities gained importance primarily through trade. This is evident by the huge trading monopolies conducted by Venice and Genoa during the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance era.
They were constantly competing for power so when the huge family of one city state, like the Medici's, commissioned the artwork of a great artist another major family in a different city state would do the same with another great artist. This allowed art and thus the Renaissance to greatly progress.
The outstanding city of the Italian Renaissance was Florence.
The wealth of Italian city-states during the Renaissance allowed for the patronage of artists, scholars, and architects, fostering a culture that valued creativity and innovation. This financial support helped to spark a renewed interest in classical art, literature, and philosophy, leading to the flourishing of the Renaissance spirit in Italy.
