The original Woodstock took place during the summer of 1969, August 15-18. I have a reputable book called Rock & Roll - Year by Year by Luke Crampton & Dafydd Rees that puts the first Woodstock in Sept 2-4 of 1967. I'd imagine this book would be a better source than Wikipedia =)
