There are lots of reasons. You would still have to do the same amount of learning, so it would mean more years in school if you only do 3 days a week. So it is better to do 5 days a week. Also, it is a working week for most people, including teachers. It will get you used to doing something 5 days a week. The weekends are better to look forward to if the rest of the week is longer. You make more out of them.
