Hitler blamed Jews because he was a anti-semite. He did not like Jews because he thought they caused all of Germany's trouble and started the huge depression after they lost in World War I because Jews were really rich and the Germans were in poverty. They had to sign a treaty that took a lot of power away from Germany. In 1933, he was announced chancellor of Germany by the president and began taking his hatred against Jews to extreme measures. There was Kristallnacht(The Night of Broken Glass) and then the extermination of Jews. Read Hitler's own book Mein Kampf to get a better understanding of why he hated Jews.
