Chapter 13 of Mark's Gospel, which has Jesus prophesy the end of the world and his own return on clouds of glory, during the lifetimes of those then living. The references to the destruction that occurred in the late 60s gives an indication of when this was expected to occur. Jesus told his listeners that they would see the Temple destroyed, and the abomination of desolation, followed by the Son of man coming in clouds of glory, and that this would take place during their own generation. Mark 13:24-26: "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light and the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken and then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory." He concluded by saying that he would return within the lifetimes of some of his own generation: "Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done."
Mark's Gospel was written approximately 70 CE, when some of those to whom Jesus would have spoken were still alive, but the other three New Testament gospels were written later and even by the 80s, when Matthew's Gospel was written, it was becoming clear that this prophecy would not occur. The author of Matthewchanged the emphasis away from an impending end of the world. While copying as faithfully as possible from Mark, he changed the position of the sentence about "this generation", relative to the destruction of the great buildings, so that it referred to something else altogether. He added, and emphasised, material where Jesus told the disciples that the end is not yet, and (24:36) that no man knows when the end of the world will occur.
i dont realy know sorry guys and girls
It was Jesus himself that said this. He told the disciples that no man nor the angels nor even He did not know but only the Father in heaven knows the exact hour when Jesus will return.
it suppose to end on when the jesus christ comes to the earth
To demonstrate Americas concerns about events in Asia.
jesus
No there is not.
Only god knows
no because jesus is lord and until he comes back we will never know cause we dont know when jesus is coming back
The answer to that is forbidden. No one but GOD and JESUS know.
Hard to explain. Only God and Jesus know when exactly the world is going to be destroyed. They told us in the bible to beware of signs like flooding, tornadoes, big earthquakes in the near future. According to many researchers and bible people, the end is near soon.
The Bible States that 'The world is near'. The Bible was written ages ago, so why would it say near? If you asked me, its just some scientists getting attention
The end of the world will begin with the second coming of Christ Jesus. When Jesus returns at the second coming, He will destroy all the wicked and will lay waste the world. Then after the 1000 year millennium, the world will be renewed with fire. We do not know when this will take place, but we can know from the signs of the end times laid out in the Bible.
Its called I am Determined to hold out to the end.I am determined to hold out to the end, Jesus is with me, on Him I can depend, and I know I have salvation for I feel it in my soul, I am determined to hold out to the end.
Somewhere in the future, probably near the end of the series!
no, he doesn't know their his kits near the end he does, though
Jesus said we would not know and could not figure it out. Jesus said He'd come back soon. and its written in the Bible that: Do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day. (2. Peter 3:8) If you think about it, it hasn't even been two whole days since Jesus left this earth. Another thing to concider is that a lot of Christians think that Jesus will come when everybody on this earth has had a chance to hear about Jesus, the gospel, and the opportunity to be saved...
So that everyone would know he has risen from death
