He was a lawyer(sp?) after trying other jobs that didn't suit him. He tried to open a shop twice but failed both times, and worked at his father-in-law's tavern for some time. he also tried to become a planter, but his house caught fire and ended that career. none of these are in order though.

Patrick Henry took part of the Revolutionary War in 1776 but no, he did not win it on is own. The war was won because the french's economic help and the strategies created by the commander-in-chief George Washington. However Patrick Henry was at the begining battle for the Revolution Lexington and Concord and his catchphrase "Give me liberty or give me death" also made him famous.
Patrick Henry did not have much military experience. He served as a colonel during the American Revolutionary War, but did not see much active combat. He was primarily known for his political leadership and oratory skills.
