They had a shamanic way of life. I believe many tribes had a similar pantheon with, of course, variations, as stories of the deities where passed by word of mouth. Tribes of primitive humans often dress and try to mimic their gods, so if the native Americans had feathers and specific songs, then, they were copied or at least represented higher forces. They did not have gods, but just Spirits, among them where souls of their ancestors which was a compendium of knowledge and tradition. And respect. Their old fashioned no-development style of life was their downfall as advanced groups of people such as the English and viking invaders pwned them all.

The Choctaw group of Native Americans are originally from the southeastern region of the United States. There is a large band of Choctaw Indians from the Mississippi area. Now the largest populations live in Oklahoma, Texas and California.
