What did a Roman house look like inside?

They were really big and and were cramped, cold and very uncomfortable but Celtic roundhouses could fit 60 men or woman in that was how big they are but what they looked like is they looked very large and had horse pooh as cement

When you would walk through the front enterence there would be a shop and a study on either sides of you. Then there would be a few bedrooms, and a kitchen and a stove room. There would be a garden in the middle of the villa. There would also be a garden room. There would also be a slaves headquators. There were some other rooms but these are the basic room

At the bottom of the social scale, Roman housing consisted of slum apartments of maybe one or two rooms. If a person worked steady, there were better apartments and sometimes living quarters connected with his place of work. There were also houses of various sizes to match the family's income. The apartments were called insulae, a house of any size was called a domus. Houses themselves were built on a square, with an opened roof atrium in the main room and smaller rooms flanking the atrium. The kitchen, dining room and reception room/office were usually behind and to the side of the atrium. A small colonnaded garden would many times be at the back of the house.
