The Samurai wore Kimono's for everyday events. Though during battle, they wore quite the contrary; The armour itself was made of diminutive steel or iron plates sewed together with silk. It was an actual job to sew these together, for the very few people who had such skill laced up the laces tightly ( they had to be extremely patient.) The people who worked as a samurai armour lacer actually got paid. They also also used quilted padding underneath to prevent injury from the blow the armor would stop. On most samurai masks there was a throat plate to protect this area during battle. They wore a winged vest, too. The mask was extremely furious and scary- but detailed. It was made of layers and layers of highly durable fibre glass and was then smothered in pigment.
