1945 cents were made in huge quantities after the end of WW2. In worn condition they're worth about 3¢. With moderate wear, about a dime.
If it has any wear at all the value is just for the silver about $2.00.
He obviously wore clothes, but he mainly wore hats. And the 1945 Style! :D
There was a variety of different clothing that people wore in 1945. For women, rayon dresses, and small hats were very popular. For men, knickerbockers, tailored suits and plus-fours were popular.
The 1945 is a Liberty Walking Half dollar and most coins show heavy wear with values of $8.00-$9.00. The 1948 is a Franklin Half dollar and value is the same.
Mercury dimes minted from 1941 to 1945 are very common, if it has any wear, the value is about $2.00 just for the silver.
