If it was a criminal or a malicious person breaking into your mailbox or your home, then report the mail theft to the Postal Inspection Service and local law enforcement.

If it was just your mother cleaning up the house, then suck it up and deal with it.

In either case, you need to replace the lost documents.

You'll have to contact the parties who sent you forms and account statements and ask them for another copy.

You may want to file Form 4868 to get an extension of time to file your federal return. You'll have to estimate your tax and send in an estimated payment with the form if you think any payment will be due. Your state probably has a similar form for requesting a state extension.
